Money Saving Advice for an Online Marketing Business

Times are tough. The economy has just recovered from double dip recession, jobs are scarce, and the European crisis appears to have no end.

The internet has been a single source of optimism in the present economic environment, providing an affordable marketing medium for businesses, and an alternative source of income for individuals.

Of course, just because you are doing online marketing doesn’t mean you have to lose your shirt on marketing expenses.

From cheap phone calls to coupons and comparison sites, there are a number of ways you can save money while online marketing:

1. Outsource What You Can

The cornerstone of any successful online marketing business is outsourcing. Outsourcing makes it possible to get things done cheap, often at 1/10th the cost in UK.

Business owners today are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting an outsourcing service. From Freelancer.com to oDesk.com, there are dozens of websites with thousands of freelancers ready to get your work done for cheap. Lower labour costs can be the edge you need to succeed in your business.

You don’t even need to outsource large projects. Through services like Amazon Mechanical Turk, you can outsource small, everyday tasks as well to streamline your online marketing business.

2. Get Cheap Services

As a business owner, you should always be on the lookout for cheaper services.

Start with the phone first: if you’re like most businesses, you probably spend hundreds of pounds on phone bills each month.

Search online for cheap phone calls and see what offers competitors have. You can even consider getting rid of your regular fixed-line phone altogether and use VOIP services like Skype.

Phone calls are just one example, but if you are to be a success, you must be prepared to search deep and negotiate hard for the best possible rates on everything, from broadband connections to courier services.

3. Go Free

With online marketing, you can usually find free alternatives to paid software and services. This includes a ton of marketing essentials, from blog themes to icons and vector images.

Also take advantage of free trials offered by software companies.

In the long run, this free stuff can save you hundreds of pounds each year.

4. Use Coupons and Comparison Sites

Never make a purchase decision without consulting a comparison shopping site.

Also, before buying anything for your online marketing business, make sure that you search for coupon codes.

You can often save hundreds of pounds like this every year.

    1. I agree, Sandeep.
Cheaper services does not mean bad services.
You just need to find the “best price” on the market for what you need.
With internet the search has become easy. 🙂
